voco The Tuxon, an IHG Hotel
About this property
Situated in the shadow of Sentinel Peak on the banks of the Santa Cruz River, The Tuxon puts guests a stone’s throw from both downtown Tucson and the evolving Mercado District, which treats them to a dose of hyperlocalism. The 112-room property boasts a calendar full of community and cultural events, from live music to outdoor movie screenings, tastings, and craft workshops, while the interior design draws inspiration from the surrounding desert landscape and southern Arizona's cattle ranching heritage. Artwork from local talents, such as Ishi Glinsky, Joe Pagac, and horticulturalist Akiko Senda, embellish interiors of crisp walls, rustic woods, and native-influenced geometric wall tiles, while bed throws that reference the four mountain ranges surrounding the Tucson basin await guests in every room. The property’s cactus garden and desertscape set the perfect scene for larger events, while the boomerang-shaped pool encourages sublime R&R under the Tucson sun.
