No two rooms are alike at the striking Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul at Sultanahmet which blends traditional comforts and modern amenities in one of the city's most iconic buildings. It's hard to believe this neoclassical masterpiece once housed a prison but the Four Seasons has transformed this four-story edifice into a magnificent retreat. Wrapping around a central courtyard the 65 rooms and suites are decorated with locally made kilims and other authentic touches and merge into the modern world with plasma TVs mp3 docking stations and wired and wireless internet access. There are also TVs in the bathrooms which invite you to linger with deep soaking tubs and separate showers. The glass-enclosed restaurant and outdoor terrace are both perfect settings for the kitchen's local and international specialties. Anytime you're feeling famished you can take advantage of in-room dining. The 12000-square-foot fitness center lets you relax in the sauna after working out with free weights or the cardio equipment. A range of marvelous massages is on offer at the fitness center or you can take advantage of the full-service spa at the nearby Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul at the Bosphorus. Same-day dry cleaning means you'll look sharp for that business meeting. Valet parking is available. Steps from the Blue Mosque the Four Seasons is also walking distance from the Topkapi Palace Museum. Just north of the hotel the Istanbul Archaeology Museums are filled with unbelievable treasures. When you're in the mood to haggle about three kilometers away is the Grand Bazaar. Atatürk International Airport is 19 kilometers west and Sabiha Gökçen International Airport is 45 kilometers southeast.
